Fly and Drive
Dear guests!
"Kalamaki Travel" has the pleasure to present you our new projet on Crete - "Fly
and Drive".
The project includes variety of 4, 7 and 9-night tours around the island by car (cat.B),
which you will be driving yourself. After arrival to Crete we will first take you
to the hotel, where you will receive road map, detailed travel itinerary and the
guide will answer all your possible questions. After the journey will begin!
The tours are organized in a way not to repeat the traditional excursions and places
of interest, but to show you the most hideaway and secret parts of the island. Accommodation
will be arranged for you along the way.

4 - night/5 - day tour (from 319 euro for 2 people)
2 days stay in the city of Chania – the most beautiful and ancient city of Crete.
You will see 5 thousand years old Minoan ruins, Rome-Byzantine walls with the cloister
yard, Venetian fortress bastion and ancient harbour.
Second day. Safari to “lost world” western Crete, with ancient city, marble columns
and beautiful beach in a calm lonely bay.
Third day. Stop in a pirate capital of Crete – village Hora Sfakion.
During the day you will drive the serpentines of the mountains drowning in the verdure
of the south-west of the island, will see “devil” bridges across the gorges, ancient
fortresses, and experience the sunbathing on the Mediterranean beaches and swimming
in the azure waters of the sea.
Forth day. Stop in Kavros, at the best beaches of Aegean sea. Visit to the picturesque
lake of Kournas with a stop for relax. Afterwards – to the mountains to the Byzantine
cloisters of 11th century, sleepy villages, waterfalls and antique city with magnificent
views.

7 - night/8 - day tour (from 485 euro for 2 people)
2 days stay in the city of Chania – the most beautiful and ancient city of Crete.
You will see 5 thousand years old Minoan ruins, Rome-Byzantine walls with the cloister
yard, Venetian fortress bastion and ancient harbour.
Second day. Safari to “lost world” western Crete, with ancient city, marble columns
and beautiful beach in a calm lonely bay.
Third day. Stop in Paleochora. Cosy, nice town with sandy-pebble beaches and Venetian
fortress.
The raisin of this area is in the south-west: 23 Byzantine churches with unique
frescoes and a dozen of antique cities, till now not touched by the archeologists.
2 days in Matala, at the very end of South Crete. This corner is different from
the other Crete. Apostle Pavel started here his hence in Crete and the monks-recluses
populated hundred of coastal caves. Local bays, not mentioned on the maps, remind
Nordic fjords . Here is the paradise for those, who likes to go through the gorges,
in one of them you can even try alpinism. Lovers of antique will find for themselves
famous palaces and mysterious necropolis of Minoan civilization, epicures will try
fresh trout on the shore of the mountain lake.
2 days in Rethymno. Fishing village, grown up to the city with a beautiful Venetian
fortress, ancient narrow streets and Rimondi fountains.
Mountains of the region are rich with olive and citrus groves. In the gorges – abandoned
medieval villages. The cloisters of the area are known by the fights with the numerous
occupiers.
Antique cities preserved immense Roman cave reservoirs. The beaches of the south,
with it’s palms and bays can be truly named a real Pearl.

9 - night/10 - day tour (from 642 euro for 2 people)

Alpine plateaus with the wind mills and deep bays with the emerald water.
The caves of region remember newly born Zeus. In the far east - unique date grove,
the beach can be used for the windsurfing. Cloisters are of the millennial history.
